Appointed by the United Nations Development Programme, John works at the forefront and actively leads a partnership-based approach to conservation that promotes resilient rural landscapes that benefit both people and the environment. Involved in the Global Environment Facility (GEF5) Project themed Improving Management Effectiveness of the Protected Area Network Project in partnership with the Eastern Cape Parks & Tourism Agency, John seeks to expand the representation of globally important terrestrial habitats by establishing new protected areas in systematically identified priority areas.
