Stephen has anchored and directly coordinated projects mostly in the northern region of Nigeria. His work in Koftara, Maladumba & Sheilon communities in Bauchi state advances the conservation of Ramsar Lake Maladumba through sustainable use of lands in the Lake’s fringes. It is the first conservation effort to propose a community watershed management plan for the Ramsar site.
