Kisumu Environmental Champs

Rahmina has been recycling water hyacinth and waste paper to make smiling cards, bookmarks, and bags. She does clean-ups – roads, streets, and estates. She collects waste plastic bottles to make a kitchen garden and also reuses them to make products like salt shakers. She has a group of 60 kids in Kisumu that she mentors and all of them have a kitchen garden and they plant trees twice per month and also plant trees on their birthdays. She also teaches on wildlife conservation _ she is the ambassador of Impala park Sanctuary Kisumu and also talks on awareness of water conservation – by removing wastes like plastics and hyacinth from the Lake.
