During his dissertation at Roehampton in London, he studied the impact of fragmentation on the lemur community in Iofa, Andasibe, in the eastern part of Madagascar by working with the local community to collect their research data. Upon returning, he founded the Association Vision for Nature for Madagascar, working in the field of biodiversity conservation and community development and he continues to work with the local population of Andasibe.
