In the past 3 plus years, Mariam has led community awareness and clean-up campaigns that sensitize and call people to action on the need to separate and sort their waste from the source of generation, in order to reduce the volumes going to the dumpsites and ending up in our drainages. Since its inception, the organization registered over 3000 beneficiaries to the initiative, recovered over 12 million post-consumer plastics from the environment, created over 24 direct jobs especially for women and youth, and indirectly met the social and economic needs of over 5000 households in Lagos State.
